The Brazilian Influence for our Brazilian Butt Lift
Much like the beaches of Florida, Brazil is known for its beautiful women. Brazilians are not only stunning, they are also extremely confident in their bodies. They wear bikinis that would make American women blush.
The Brazilian Butt Lift is, in a sense, homage to these beautiful, confident and shapely women. The goal is to augment the size and shape of the buttocks by adding fat taken from a “donor” area of the body (e.g., the abdomen, hips, back). The technique was developed as a much better long-term solution than alternatives like Botox and buttock implants, some of which can cause complications.
Liposuction alone can be beneficial to improving your shape, but taking that unwanted fat and injecting it into the buttocks will produce even more beautiful curves and a pleasing physique.
David Rankin MD, Dev Vibhakar MD, and Adam Bauermeister, MD, of Aqua Plastic Surgery are well-known Brazilian Butt Lift surgeons in the Miami, Jupiter and the Ft. Lauderdale area. Their surgical precision is tempered by their eye for artistry; the combination has yielded numerous beautiful bodies since their start of practicing plastic surgery.

What Happens During Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery?
Our plastic surgeons perform Brazilian butt lift in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Jupiter at our private surgical suite or at one of the local hospitals with which they are affiliated.
Dr. Rankin, Dr. Dev or Dr. Bauermeister will begin by harvesting fat from the donor area of your body, such as the abdomen, hips or back. The doctor will use liposuction techniques to remove the fat; then, he will purify the fat cells in preparation for injection. He will inject the fat cells into the buttocks at strategic points in order to create the curves you desire to complete your Brazilian butt lift. The doctor will concentrate on filling the upper quadrants of the buttocks to make the butt look lifted and perky. The doctor relies on his artistic sensibilities for the best aesthetic outcome.
Recovering from Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery
One of the most important things to remember during Brazilian Butt Lift recovery is to stay off of the buttocks; this means no sitting for approximately one week to 10 days. Our plastic surgeons may ask you to wear a compression garment to help your new contours heal and settle. It’s also important to them that you do not experience excessive pain during recovery; your doctor will write you prescriptions for pain medication prior to your surgery so you can fill them and have them ready at home when you return from surgery.
Our surgeons will call to check on you the evening of your surgery. We will also want to see you for follow-up visits after your procedure, so our doctors can check on your healing and recovery.
